Adorn Ramadan with Dua

According to Hadith, Dua is a weapon for a Mu’min (Believer). It is such an act that requires no fixed time, no special place and no particular state. Regardless of ones situation, one may supplicate, utter Dua, seek refuge, support and shelter to the Lord of the Universe, the Master & Planner, the Creator of all – Allah Taala.

A sincere Believer knows that there is no problem solver and worry remover except Allah.  He believes it by heart and does dua each and every moment wherever and whenever possible. He supplicates to Allah while sitting, standing and at every condition – when happy or sad. The abundance of Dua of a Believer bears proof of his genuine Reliance on Allah.

Meditate: I am a slave of Allah; He knows my needs and necessities ; He provides every bit of sustenance to me; I am undone without His support; no problem could be solved without His Command; no worries could be removed without His Consent. Therefore, besides all efforts, as a slave, I must spread my hands to Allah and beseech His Mighty Support.

Always remember, let how intense and difficult be your problem, it is easy for Allah to solve. For Him, a small problem and a big one is all the same. Have complete faith on Him. Supplicate sincerely. Allah Taala loves to hear the call of His servant. He listens to all – not only to the person in castle and building, but also to the ones in huts and shanties. Not only the ones who are very pious, but also the ones who are absorbed in sins but now want to repent. One may not be able to explain one’s condition to the people of this world, but Allah, the Exalted, is well aware of every bits and pieces of the happenings in this universe. Therefore, seek His refuge! And, indeed, there is no way except His refuge. In one Hadith it has been said that Allah Taala becomes angry on such a slave who doesn’t supplicate Tirmizi. Therefore, Dua is such an act that cannot be neglected at all.

The invaluable moments of Ramadan should be adorned with plenty of Dua. Each and everyone has needs, problems and worries. There is none who doesn’t depend on Allah; every thing and being is His creation and completely dependent on Him. If everyone calls Allah sincerely and turns to Him, Allah the Almighty is enough for all. Our sins, problems, worries have a limit. Allah Taala’s Forgiveness and Kindness doesn’t have any boundary. See what Allah Taala, the Exalted and Most Benevolent and Merciful says to us (in Sura Zumar) [Meaning]:

Say (on My behalf), “O servants of Mine who have acted recklessly against their own selves, do not despair of Allah’s mercy. Surely, Allah will forgive all sins. Surely, He is the One who is the Most-Forgiving, the Very-Merciful. [53] Turn passionately towards your Lord, and submit to Him before the punishment comes to you, after which you will not be helped. [54] And follow the best of what has been sent down to you from your Lord before the punishment comes to you suddenly when you do not even expect, [55] lest someone should say, “Pity on me, because I fell short in respect of (observing the rights of) Allah and in fact, I was one of those who mocked”, [56] or, (lest) someone should say, “If Allah were to show me the way, I would have surely been among those who fear Allah”, [57] or, (lest) someone should say when he sees the punishment, “O that I had a chance to return, so that I may become one of those who are good in deeds.” [58] Why not? My verses had reached you, but you called them untrue, and waxed proud, and became of those who disbelieved. [59] And on the Day of Judgment, you will see those who had forged lies against Allah (in a state) that their faces are turned black. Is it not that in Jahannam there is an abode for the arrogant? [60] And Allah will save the Allah-fearing (from Jahannam), with utmost success granted to them, so as no evil will touch them, nor will they grieve. [61]

The Quran is full of such inspirations. Allah Taala urges His servants to turn to Him.

Dua is a means which creates a very good relation with Allah rapidly. There must be no laziness and negligence regarding it. We must NOT look for the results of our Dua but believe that Dua is itself an Ibadat (worship); a lots of Sawab (reward) is achieved through Dua alone. By seeing the return for his duas on the Day of Judgment, a believer would regretfully say, “Ah! If none of my duas were accepted in the world, I would get all rewards (for those) today.”
