Benefits of accepting Taqdeer

Difference between a believer and non-believer should be apparent when it comes to the point of reacting in any adverse situation. Unfortunately what today we see is, even a believer i.e. a person who believes Allah Taala is behind everything, breaks down so severely that it portrays the poor and pathetic state of his faith (Iman); this happens due to ‘NOT’ practicing upon the ‘faith’ and ‘understanding’ of ‘accepting the Taqdeer‘. Just believing on Taqdeer is not sufficient to attain peace and tranquility; complete and ultimate success lies on the ‘practice’ of ‘accepting the Taqdeer’, i.e. whatever Allah Taala decides.

What Allah Taala had written on my fate, what all are happening in my life – are for my own good. This understanding is the key to success for a believer and he doesn’t stop making efforts, because ‘making efforts’ had been made compulsory for him and does NOT contradict Taqdeer. Belief on Taqdeer rather makes a believer firm on Allah Taala’s path, because. the servant accepts whatever is beyond his comprehension and control. Knowledge of the Creator can never be compared to our ‘limited’ understanding. Therefore, all ‘why, when, how’ – cannot be answered by us.

If we keep on obeying Allah Taala, that makes our life easy. Accepting the results of every happening and relying on Allah Taala,  supplies immense comfort to the heart and takes one to the higher stages of spiritual tranquility. Because, indeed, there is nothing to do with those happening and outcomes which are completely ‘out of our control’. The believer knows that ‘something good is definitely there, may be I can’t comprehend, but my Lord is NOT unjust, He is Hakeem, therefore, something good is got to be there’ – this particular thought relieves all pains, worries, anxieties from the heart. Some feeling of pain or worry may still be there, which are ‘instinctive’, and for this we are humans NOT Angels! Therefore, there is absolutely nothing wrong with it. If the believer accepts the adversary ‘thoughtfully’, considering and concluding it Allah Taala’s decision for me – that is enough, this state is the state of ‘accepting the Taqdeer‘. May Allah Taala provide us the Tawfeeq (ability) to simply understand and apply it!

There is another great benefit when the believer strikes his mind with such thought. He automatically and spontaneously gets engaged in searching the divine support, i.e. doing Dua! Even it is programmed by Allah Taala that if he does Dua, there is help and support for him; on the other hand, if he does not do Dua, there is NO help or support for him. Therefore, Dua should be sincerely and seriously done. Just engaging in Dua is an Ibadat! Dua brings in the blessings of Allah Taala in our life. Dua makes the heart firm and helps the believer to connect with Allah Taala, makes the relationship with Allah Taala much stronger.

As a servant, we should never be ‘overwhelmed’ with worries, rather take the necessary actions mentioned in the Holy Quran and AHadith.

Hazrat Imran bin Husayn (RA) was a Sahabi, a Noble Companion of our Beloved Prophet Sallallahu Alayhi wa Sallam. This Sahabi (RA) was inflicted by such an illness that it finally confined him to the bed – not for a day, not for a week and not for a year! He was confined to the bed for THIRTY TWO YEARS!!! Such a serious illness he was caught into that his food, his prayers and all other activities had to be accomplished being lying on the bed. But what an astonishing matter! His face glowed with pleasure and delight, not a single sign of worry and distress was there on his face! What was the mystery? What was the reason for it? A person asked him that although having completely bed-ridden and for such a long time, why was he so delighted always(?) – “Hazrat what is the reason for your delight?! Why do your face beam in this way, whereas your illness is so intense?”

Hazrat Imran bin Husayn(RA) informed him that his Sabr (patience) has been accepted by Allah Taala! Because, when he understood that it is the will of Allah Taala that he become bed-ridden, he accepted it happily! Allahu Akbar! This is a real story to be followed! May Allah Taala relieve all our pains and worries and may we all be satisfied whatever Allah Taala decides for us! (Aameen!) This life of the world is surely to end. Ultimate objective is to satisfy Allah Taala.
